Ingredients: 1/2 cup dried hibiscus flowers (or 2 cups fresh), 8 cups water, 1/4 cup honey (or to taste), 3 tbsp fresh lemon or lime juice, mint for garnish.

Remove the calyx and pistil from fresh hibiscus flowers if using fresh.

Bring water to a boil, add hibiscus flowers, and let steep for 5–10 minutes (fresh) or up to 20 minutes for stronger flavor.

Add honey and lemon/lime juice while the tea is warm.

Strain and serve hot or chill for iced tea. Garnish with mint, lime wheels, or even chia seeds for extra texture.
